These adorable little puffs are what I took to our neighborhood Labor Day gathering. It's pretty much a fabulous meeting of the French Cheese Puff known as a gougère and the Italian Pepperoni to create a very tasty little nibble that will leave you with an empty platter to bring home.
I used Parmesan cheese, but you could use mozzarella. I also put a small bowl of simple marinara sauce on the platter for dipping. These make a great addition to an hors d'oeuvres buffet, but they are fantastic after-school snacks, too!
