Yesterday was the last day for my piano students till the New Year. I always like to give them a little something as a Christmas gift so I mixed up a batch of Mama Trudy's Party Pretzels and packaged them in cellophane bags. I wasn't sure if they'd all like the pretzels so I also attached a Crunch bar so they would at least have a bit of chocolate as a consolation. J
I needed tags so Photoshop and I had a rendezvous and this is what came of it …
I created the circles to fit just inside the Marvy 2 ½-inch circle punch. (This is me trying to line up the circle in the punch and hold it with my left hand while taking the photo with my right. Not an easy feat, I tell you!)
I punched a small hole in the top of each tag and the packaging on the Crunch bars to thread gold thread through and tied them to the green raffia ribbon I used to close the bags.
… And there ya go!
[Ben took a big bag of these pretzels to school and shared them around during Chemistry class. He said they were very well liked. Well … actually he said, "Mom! Everybody was, like, 'those pretzels are BOMB!'"]
Downloads today: Mama Trudy's Party Pretzels Recipe and a PDF of the tags! Just print the tags on cardstock and punch them out. Of course, if you are a glutton for punishment or simply have more time on your hands than I do, you could also cut them with scissors. They would also look nice cut into squares. If you use the punch, you'll have to trim one side a bit in order to line it up perfectly. You could use these as I did … just as they are, or you could certainly write your "to:" and "from:" on them as well. Enjoy!
